Karaoke with a haircut
The Quarter and its neighbours keep two weekly one-offs worth planning around. Karaoke Forever - NOLA runs Hairaoke every Tuesday at St. Roch Tavern on St Roch Avenue — karaoke and haircuts, billed together, and we are not going to pretend that combination needs improving.
Sing Your Heart Out Karaoke takes Thursdays, and calls itself the only place to be in the French Quarter on a Thursday night. Between the two of them, the early week has personality the weekend can't match.
The Metairie rotation
Metairie's four bars split the week rather than compete for it. Pair of Dice on the I-10 service road takes Wednesday and Saturday. 22nd Street Bar keeps its karaoke to the weekends. Blue Ghost Tavern on Airline Drive runs Saturdays from 9pm with Kid on the mic, and Spotlight holds Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
