The place to start is Little Saigon. Twelve confirmed venues sit in Garden Grove and Westminster alone — rooms rented by the hour along Garden Grove Boulevard, Bolsa Avenue and Brookhurst Street, most of them open every night until 2am and a few going far past it. Karaoke Icool posts 5pm to 5am, seven nights a week.
The bars are everywhere else. An open-mic venue runs all seven nights in Huntington Beach, another in Buena Park, a third in Irvine. Fullerton hosts a show that calls itself the county's longest-running, and Anaheim's own hand stretches from a Wednesday-to-Sunday sign-up room to a karaoke studio on West Lincoln that doesn't shut until 4 or 5 in the morning.

Where 2am is only the midpoint
Most rooms here close at 2am. Four venues keep going: Karaoke Icool on Bolsa posts 5am every night of the week; Kim Karaoke in Stanton runs 3pm to 5am on weekdays; Don't Tell Papa extends to 5am on Friday and Saturday; and OK 501, a karaoke studio on West Lincoln in Anaheim, runs Tuesday to Saturday — 4am midweek, 5am at the weekend.
Royal karaoke and lounge on Brookhurst adds a 4am close on Friday and Saturday. All five sit within a few miles of each other in the county's west, which means the end of a long night has a fixed direction: towards Little Saigon.

Anaheim, Fullerton and one very long street
Anaheim proper spreads its nights around. Juke Joint Bar on North Anaheim Boulevard sings Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 9pm to 2am; the Rio Vista Lounge runs karaoke in its Jack Fire lounge four nights a week; GameCraft Brewing saves it for Saturdays at 10pm.
Fullerton is about tenure. BIGS runs Tuesday and Thursday, 9pm to midnight, and bills itself as Orange County's longest-running karaoke show; Sunset Lounge covers six nights, 9:30pm to 1:30am. And in Placentia, The 80s Bar does exactly what it says every Sunday: eighties karaoke, 7pm to 2am, free.
One pattern worth noticing: Brookhurst Street appears on this page more than any other road. The Kopa Room sits on it in Anaheim, Karaoke Nice and Hay Karaoke in Garden Grove, Royal in Westminster, and Ozzie's Sports Bar down in Fountain Valley, which takes Friday and Saturday from 9pm.
