Karaoke inCleveland

Lakewood gets karaoke at one in the afternoon, seven days a week, at Corky's Place. The rest of greater Cleveland mostly saves its singing for Friday and Saturday, when bars from Westlake to Wickliffe switch on — and there are private rooms on East 30th for a group that wants a door to close.

Cleveland karaoke leans west. Lakewood carries two venues on its own — Corky's Place on Detroit Avenue, singing seven days a week from a 1pm open, and Lakewood Village Tavern on Madison, which gives its weekends to something billed as ULTIMATE RUSTIE KARAOKE. Keep going and Westlake, Parma Heights, Berea and Pearl Road all hold confirmed nights of their own.

The east side answers with fewer venues and more character: a Tuesday at a martini and soul bistro in Euclid, a Wednesday on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights, and Galaxy KTV on East 30th Street — the private-room venue on this list, renting rooms Thursday through Sunday and running to 2:30am on the weekend.

4 confirmed venues

The four to know first

Between them these cover every night of the week, both sides of town, and both formats.

  • Corky's Place

    13302 Detroit Ave · Lakewood

Karaoke seven days a week in a bar that opens at 1pm and closes at 2am. The metro's standing answer, whatever day it is.

  • NO DRAMA Lounge

13933 Saint Clair Ave · Saint Clair

Tuesday through Saturday from 7pm, and the bar's own line is that the karaoke mic is always open. The name is a house policy.

  • Galaxy KTV

    1593 E 30th St · East 30th

Private rooms, Thursday through Sunday from 5pm — to 1am on Thursday and Sunday, 2:30am on Friday and Saturday.

  • Time Warp Bar

26261 Center Ridge Rd · Westlake

Karaoke and a DJ four nights running, Thursday through Sunday, 9pm to 1am — the far west side's long weekend.

Friday and Saturday: pick a road

The weekend is when greater Cleveland sings, and the venues sort themselves by road rather than by rank. On the west side, Casey Jones Tavern on Triskett Road puts DJ Bobby B on from 9pm to 2am both nights, Mr Peabody's Pub & Grille holds Pearl Road, My Corner Bar in Parma Heights runs its Karaoke DJ Dance Party from 9pm, and Lakewood Village Tavern gives Fridays and Saturdays to ULTIMATE RUSTIE KARAOKE — capitalisation theirs.

Tina's Nite Club on Herman Avenue starts a night earlier, Thursday through Saturday, and kicks off promptly at 9 — the house advice is to arrive by then. South, Eastland Inn in Berea starts Fridays at 9pm. East, Grumpy's Lounge in Wickliffe runs 10pm to 2am, the latest start anyone here lists.

The one-night specials

Four venues run a single night. Two of them are the east side's midweek: Lora J's Martini & Soul Bistro on Euclid Avenue takes Tuesdays from 8pm, and The Social Room on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights takes Wednesdays.

Saturdays add the other two: Johnny Malloy's on Mayfield Road pairs karaoke with a DJ, and Pearl Road Pub makes Pearl Road a two-venue street for one night a week. If a single night is all a bar gives karaoke, Saturday is the night this metro gives it.
