The center of gravity is the stretch of town between Ala Moana and Moiliili. South King Street alone holds four confirmed venues, with more a street either side on Beretania, Keeaumoku and Kapiolani — mostly lounges renting private rooms, open from the evening until the city's standard last call. That rhythm is so common here it amounts to a style.
The scene does not stop at town. Waipahu, Aiea and Pearl City keep rooms and bar nights of their own — two Waipahu venues share a single building on Pupupani Street — and Waikiki holds the longest nights in the city. Best of all, Honolulu sings in daylight: one venue opens its rooms in the morning, and several more are going by lunchtime.

Waikiki sings latest
Nearly everything in Honolulu calls it a night at the same standard hour, so the exception is worth knowing by name. GS Studio on Lewers Street rents rooms nightly and keeps going well past the usual close on Friday and Saturday, the longest nights we have confirmed in the city.
Waikiki covers the open-mic side too. Wang Chung's on Koa Avenue runs open mic karaoke every night, and Tapa's Waikiki, one floor up on Seaside Avenue, takes Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Karaoke before dark
Kaeo Studios in Waipahu opens its rooms in the morning. Hangry Mama in Pearl City is going by late morning, and in town Mr. Ojisan runs a lunch window Monday to Saturday.
Toma Karaoke on South Beretania runs from midday, every day, and is BYOB and BYOF — you bring the drinks and the food, they bring the rooms. bliss Karaoke Lounge on Dillingham Boulevard also starts at midday, Monday through Saturday, and Encore Baraoke in Aiea is going by mid-afternoon.
The house standard
The default Honolulu venue opens in the evening, closes at the standard hour, and does it seven nights — and there is a whole bench built to exactly that spec. Cafe Gangnam on Keeaumoku rents rooms for parties, Club Moonflower on Sheridan Street sings seven days, Soju Bang on Kalakaua runs daily, and Nighthawk Too on Kapiolani Boulevard does the same.
So the useful question here is rarely whether somewhere is open — several venues run all seven nights — but which room you want. Air Park Karaoke Lounge on Piikoi Street keeps its rooms and open lounge going Thursday through Sunday.
