Karaoke inOrlando

The attractions here do not leave karaoke to the bars. Chip and Dale host a campfire sing-along seven nights a week, Universal's CityWalk stages Rising Star from 7pm every evening, and Old Town in Kissimmee puts its singers on a public Main Stage. The local circuit answers with daily private rooms and a roadhouse that sings every night until 2am.

Orlando's tourist half performs in the open. The Campfire Sing-Along with Chip & Dale runs every night of the week at the campground near the Meadow Trading Post; CityWalk's Rising Star goes seven nights from 7pm; Kimonos takes the late shift on Epcot Resort Boulevard with nightly karaoke from 9:30. Even off Disney and Universal property, O'Shucks Pub & Karaoke Bar starts at 9pm every single night on International Drive.

The local half is its own circuit. Big Daddys Roadhouse on Corrine Drive runs daily karaoke from 8pm to 2am, two private-room houses on Orange Blossom Trail and Kirkman Road open every day, and the northern suburbs sing with named hosts — Artie in Longwood, Rhonda in Sanford.

One address in Kissimmee

5770 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway holds two separate karaoke operations. Sun On the Beach runs Wednesday through Saturday, 7 to 11pm. Old Town Karaoke takes Tuesdays and Thursdays in the same 7-to-11 window, out on Old Town's Main Stage next to Southern Breeze — karaoke in front of whoever the attraction has pulled in that night.

Between them the address covers Tuesday through Saturday, and on Thursdays both run at once. Further out, Tradewinds Restaurant in Davenport adds Thursdays and Saturdays.

North through the suburbs

Cheers in Maitland calls its Wednesday-to-Saturday session Rock-N-Roll Karaoke. All In the Family in Longwood runs Tuesdays and Saturdays with a host named Artie, and Rockin' Rhonda's in Sanford has Rhonda herself, Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm.

Winter Park holds two: the six-night tiki bar above, and Fridays from 10pm at Original Devaney's All-Star Karaoke! on University Boulevard — a venue whose name is already a bill of goods.

Orlando proper, off the Drive

Nice & Easy Bar & Grill on Hoffner Avenue holds Wednesday through Saturday from 8pm.

And on Turkey Lake Road, Blu Cafe hosts a weekly night that named itself after the calendar: I Love Karaoke Tuesdays, 8 to 11pm.
