This is a two-shore scene, and both shores hold up their end. The Tampa side runs from Ybor City up through Temple Terrace and out to Riverview; cross the bay and Pinellas answers with Clearwater, Dunedin, Largo, Gulfport, Tarpon Springs and the St Petersburg pair. The karaoke lives wherever the neighborhood bars are, which here includes a tiki bar at the Sponge Docks and the lounge at a Dunedin bowling alley.
Three venues rent private rooms: The Grand Karaoke Lounge and Tampa Karaoke VIP on Tampa's north side, and Good Fortune in downtown St Petersburg. Beaches, docks and lanes
Clearwater Beach sings a block from the sand: Sandcastle Arcade Bar & Grill takes Thursdays and Fridays, and the Friday karaoke at Toucans Bar & Grill brings the beach crowd indoors. Up the coast in Tarpon Springs, the Sawgrass Tiki Bar at the historic Sponge Docks sings Fridays and Saturdays.
Dunedin fits three venues into one small town: Bauser's on Monday and Wednesday, the lounge at Dunedin Lanes — yes, the bowling alley — on Friday and Saturday, and Blur Nightclub downtown on Thursdays.
North of the river, east of town
