Only two venues in this metro sing all seven nights, and neither is in Providence proper. The Midway bar at the Clarke Cooke House fires up its karaoke system every night on a Newport wharf, and Pawtucket Patriot Bar & Grill sings every night too — then livestreams the session besides. Downtown holds its own with The Boombox, five nights a week with an early start.

The rest is a ring of one- and two-night bars, and the ring is wider than the state. Warwick keeps two karaoke rooms on the same shore road alone. Pawtucket adds a Friday session that runs at happy hour and is done before dinner. And the circuit reaches into Massachusetts, where the town of Medway holds two venues by itself.

North of the city

Pawtucket's other two venues split the week. Rock's on Prospect takes Thursdays. Celtic Pub runs Happy Hour Karaoke on Fridays — start singing in daylight, home in time for dinner. Hidden Talent Karaoke in Cumberland keeps its Saturday on the early side too.

Out in the northwest corner, Pascoag Cafe sings every Thursday and every Saturday.

Johnston, and over the line

Johnston splits between Mr Bigg's Saloon, karaoke every Friday and Saturday, and Strings Bar & Grill, which gives Tuesday to karaoke and the next two nights to an open mic and a band jam — three different ways to hold a microphone on three consecutive nights.
