Sunday on North Stone
The city's most unusual session happens on a Sunday afternoon. Brodies Dark Horse Eatery at 2449 North Stone Avenue holds karaoke from 1:30 to 5:30pm out on the back patio, finished before most of Tucson's karaoke has started.
Stay on Stone and the day carries on: Bumsted's, at 1003 North, also sings on a Sunday. By 8pm Margarita Bay is running, and at 10 the Edge picks up on Flowing Wells. A Sunday here can start after lunch and still be going at 2am.
Saturday, the wide night
Five of the eight venues sing on a Saturday. Elliott's On Congress on East Congress Street is the one that does Saturday alone, and it turns up on lists of the city's best Saturday karaoke. Monkey Bar and the Depot run to 2am, Bumsted's to 1.
Friday is nearly as full. Famous Sams gives the night over entirely from 9, and between the Depot, Monkey Bar and Margarita Bay there are three 2am finishes to choose from. The one mistake is going out at the weekend looking for the Edge, which leaves those two nights to live music.
