The Thursday-to-Saturday circuit
A good number of Portland's karaoke bars run a three-night weekend block, usually Thursday through Saturday and usually starting at 9pm. It is enough of a pattern that you can pick by neighbourhood rather than by night.
Cheerful Tortoise near Portland State does 9pm to 2am. The Perch on North Lombard starts at 8:30pm. Candlelight on NE Glisan, Clubhouse Bar & Grill out on Beaverton Hilldale, Garden Home Dugout in the south-west and The Rumpus Room on SE Division all run the same Thursday-to-Saturday shape.

Portland spreads its single-night karaoke across the calendar, so almost any night has something. Mississippi Pizza Pub takes Tuesdays and Tom's Bar Thursdays.
