For a metro of twelve confirmed venues, Spokane has arranged things generously. The Monterey Cafe on North Washington runs karaoke seven nights, 9pm to 2am. PJ's Pub on Monroe does seven as well, and The Star on North Hamilton makes it three, singing every night at 9. Any evening, no planning, pick one.

The rest sorts itself by street. East Sprague in the Valley holds the Iron Horse and the New Jade Lounge five street numbers apart, while West Sprague has Wednesdays at Nyne. North Market Street runs from the Yard Bird Tavern at 5209 up to the Lariat Inn in Mead at 11820 — one road, most of a week.

The bars that never stop

Three nightly rooms and the Valley's near-nightly fourth. Most of Spokane's karaoke hours live right here.

  • Monterey Cafe

    9 N Washington St · Washington St

Seven nights, 9pm to 2am — the latest confirmed close in the metro, held every single day. The default, and deservedly.

  • PJ's Pub

    1717 N Monroe St · Monroe St

Karaoke seven nights a week on North Monroe. No start time to memorise, no night to avoid.

  • The Star

    1329 N Hamilton St · Hamilton St

Every night at 9pm on North Hamilton. The third leg of the nightly tripod, and the east side's share of it.

  • Iron Horse

    11105 E Sprague Ave · Spokane Valley

The Valley's anchor: Wednesday through Saturday at 9pm, and Sunday at 8 — an hour earlier, as a Sunday should be.

Sprague Avenue, both ends

In the Valley, the Iron Horse at 11105 East Sprague runs five nights, and five numbers along at 11110 sits The New JADE Lounge at Peking Palace, which sings on Fridays. A Friday out here is a two-venue night without moving the car far at all.

At the western end of the same avenue, Sprague turns into a Wednesday: Nyne Bar & Bistro at 232 West starts at 9pm. And elsewhere in the Valley, Green City Saloon on East Appleway takes Friday and Saturday, thickening the weekend out there further.

Market Street, and the Saturday singles

North Market Street carries the north side. The Yard Bird Tavern at 5209 North sings Wednesday through Saturday; carry on up the same road to 11820 North and you reach the Lariat Inn in Mead, whose Monday and Thursday nights make it the only venue outside the nightly three that sings on a Monday.

Saturday brings out the one-night rooms: Jackson St Bar and Grill on North Astor, and Studio K Bar on Regal on South Regal Street from 9pm — a bar with karaoke in the name, saving itself for the big night.
