Karaoke inBaltimore
Baltimore spreads its karaoke from Bel Air down to Annapolis, with private rooms in a Catonsville izakaya that open at noon on weekends. In the city the bars keep it weekly and close to home — and at the Clipper Mill Inn, the one regulars call the Bloody Bucket, John Waters has been seen enjoying the Saturday night karaoke.
Twenty-three confirmed venues, and no single district holds them. The city proper sings on Chase Street, Read Street and South Charles; Dundalk keeps three venues of its own; and the ring of towns from Halethorpe round to Annapolis adds a night or two apiece. Most bars here hold one strong night a week, so the day does the picking.
The exceptions anchor everything. The Hub Sakaki in Catonsville runs private rooms seven days, from 4pm on weekdays and noon on the weekend. Walt's Inn on O'Donnell Street sings five nights ending Sunday, Kenny B's Blue Marlin in Dundalk five nights ending Saturday, and The Rowan Tree holds four late ones in between.

The city, night by night
Leon's Backroom on West Chase Street runs Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9pm to midnight, with Stacey hosting. The Drinkery on West Read takes Friday and Saturday. Between those two, Walt's and the Rowan Tree, the city has an answer every night but Monday — the Monday nights all live out of town.
Thursday downtown means Bmore1920social on Water Street, where the BeautifulSideOfUGLY Karaoke & Game Night follows a 5-to-8 happy hour. And Saturday belongs to the Clipper Mill Inn on Union Avenue, also answering to the Bloody Bucket, where the karaoke has drawn John Waters himself. A bar does not earn two names by being dull.
Dundalk and the east side
Kenny B's holds the spine, Tuesday to Saturday. Around it the east side works in single nights: Phillip's Inn on Holabird Avenue sings on Sunday afternoons, which is a civilised hour for it, and Tempo Lounge in Essex takes Friday.
Captain's Bar & Grill in Middle River keeps Monday and Saturday — a pairing you will meet again on the other side of the map.
The ring, Halethorpe to Annapolis
Thursday is the ring's night. Coolahan's Pub in Halethorpe invites you to show everyone your inner Elvis from 8pm, Maynard's Cafe in Brooklyn starts at 9 with no cover, and Main Street Tower in Bel Air runs 9pm to 1am.
The weekend spreads wider. Timbuktu in Hanover sings Friday and Saturday, 8:30pm to 1:30am; Morisberger Tavern in Catonsville takes Friday; and The Office Bar & Grill in Pasadena pairs a DJ Jazzy James Wednesday with a Saturday party from 8. Sunday finishes at Castlebay on Main Street in Annapolis.
Then there is the Monday-and-Saturday club: Ellie's Place in Millersville, Crofton Cantina with Blossom Entertainment, and Captain's up in Middle River all keep exactly that pair. Three venues, three directions, one shared calendar.
